Reuniting families through DNA immigration testing is expertly handled by DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC). DDC has achieved a number of laboratory accreditations for DNA testing in Sierra Leone and has handled over 1 million genetics tests since establishment in 1995.
Those requiring DNA testing in Sierra Leone for immigration applications or appeals should contact DDC immediately to discuss the specific test needed.
Over the last decade, we have helped many families with DNA testing in Sierra Leone by providing DNA tests to confirm if individuals are biologically related and, in doing so, assisting them in joining family in the US, UK and Europe.
DDC liaises with an authorized doctor in Sierra Leone who works very closely with us in performing DNA sample collections for those clients based there. The doctor will complete all legal documentation, confirm identification of those being tested and will collect the DNA samples before sending these to our laboratory.
Once all individuals involved in the immigration DNA test are happy to proceed, our immigration staff will confirm all appointments with the doctors and the collection facilities. The collection of the DNA sample is extremely quick, pain free and simple to take. The doctor will use swabs to collect DNA. These swabs are rubbed against the inside of the cheek, collecting cells that contain the DNA needed to analyze and confirm a biological relationship. Once this procedure is completed by all parties, along with official identification and completed paperwork, the samples will be couriered to the DNA Diagnostics Center laboratory.
DDC has a global network of over 4,500 collection centers located across the globe. In Sierra Leone, we work alongside an authorized collection facility in Freetown, where you can attend to have DNA samples collected.
