Legal Paternity Testing

Legal DNA paternity testing (also known as chain-of-custody testing) provides results that may be used as proof of a biological relationship for child support, custody, immigration, birth certification, Social Security, or other legal reasons. Although this type of accurate DNA paternity test requires on-site testing, our nationwide network of paternity testing collection sites makes the process quick and simple.

Home Paternity Testing

A home DNA paternity test is an excellent choice for those looking to test paternity for personal knowledge or peace of mind only. Note that because test participants collect and submit their own DNA samples, at-home test results are not court-admissible. With prices starting at $199, our easy-to-use mail-in paternity DNA test provides peace of mind right from the comfort of home.

Prenatal Paternity Testing

Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing

A prenatal DNA paternity test can establish proof of paternity during pregnancy. Our technically-advanced, non-invasive test is AABB-accredited, accurate, can be performed as early as 7 weeks, and is completely safe for the mother and baby.

Over 25 Years of Experience in DNA Relationship Testing

For decades, customers have trusted us with over 20 million DNA tests. Our expert laboratory technicians ensure your home paternity test results are accurate for the samples provided.

How Our DNA Paternity Tests Work

Step 1: Give Us a Call

To initiate the DNA paternity testing process, call our experts for a no-obligation consultation. Our caring and knowledgeable representatives can help you navigate your unique situation and determine which type of paternity test best suits your needs.

Step 2: Collect the DNA Sample(s)

If you choose a Home Paternity Test, we’ll send a complete kit right to your doorstep in discreet packaging. Simply collect cheek swabs (or other allowable sample type) from both child and possible father(s), and return the samples in the prepaid mailer. If you choose a Legal Paternity Test, you can easily provide your sample in-person at one of our 5000+ collection locations worldwide. Multiple appointments can be set up in different locations when necessary.

Step 3: Your Test is Carefully Processed

Our laboratory technicians carefully handle and prepare your DNA samples for processing. Every DDC paternity test that utilizes buccal (cheek) swab samples is run two separate times by independent teams. The results are then reviewed by our in-house team of PhDs and your report is prepared.

Step 4: Receive Your Results Online

Once testing is complete, typically within 1-2 days (3-7 days for non-invasive prenatal paternity), we’ll send you an email. With your results email, you can simply log in to our secure website to view your results. Paternity test results are completely confidential, and your private genetic information is never shared with or sold to outside parties. See our privacy policy here.
