Maury and DDC: Partners in Paternity TV for 20 Seasons
“You ARE the father.” Over the last 20 or so years, that simple phrase has become a very famous one across America, thanks to the one and only Maury Show, which has aired on daytime TV continuously since 1998. Maury and DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) have been partners in paternity testing for every one of those years, and together we’ve provided accurate DNA answer to hundreds and hundreds of people from all walks of life.
Maury Guests for Paternity Testing: How It Works
People often ask how to get on Maury. All interviews to be on the show are conducted by the show’s producers, and they select their own guests. If you want to be part of the action, you need to contact Maury directly. People who are selected to be on the show are in the capable hands of the Maury staff, who provide all instructions and make all arrangements for testing and everything else involved with appearing on the show. The DDC lab’s job is solely to provide the show’s testing services once guests are chosen, and the lab technicians and analysts take that responsibility very seriously. What Happens at Maury’s DNA Lab
The DDC lab is located in the heartland of America, near Cincinnati, Ohio, and employs over 200 people. It maintains the highest levels of accreditation and is widely recognized as one of the largest and best DNA-testing facilities in the world. DDC has processed millions upon millions of samples since 1995, providing accurate, fast, and trusted results.
The lab uses only the latest technology and is famous for the DDC Dual Process™, wherein each tested party’s swabs are divided in two and are tested by two independent teams to ensure accurate results. At each step during the testing process, samples are identified and checked against records, and laboratory directors review the data from each team’s testing to see if the results match.

I am suppose to be the grandparent of a little girl who is a year old. I have asked the mother of the child to get a DNA test to clarify that my son is the baby’s father. It has been told to us that is may be the her other children’s father. Not trying to cause a problem, just want to make sure for my son. Hello, Jeanine. There is not much you can do on your own if she refuses to do a test. Has your son signed an acknowledgment of paternity or the birth certificate? If so, he may have the legal authority to do the test himself. If not, then you may want to contact a family-law attorney to see what your options are.

It can be performed with a doctor’s prescription or lawyer’s request and does not necessarily have to be court-ordered.
