The DDC NIPP Test

Our non-invasive prenatal paternity (NIPP) test uses a simple blood draw from the mother, starting at 7 weeks pregnancy, and a cheek swab from the father to determine paternity with 99.9% accuracy, no risk to mother or baby. Get results in 5 business days, plus your baby’s gender free (optional), with collection available at 3,000+ locations or through convenient at-home options.

The Right Prenatal Paternity Lab Makes All the Difference.

Choosing the right lab is the most important step you’ll take. With DDC, you’re backed by the world’s most accredited paternity lab and the most advanced NIPP test available. Here’s what sets us apart:

Accreditations

We’re the ONLY NIPP test that's AABB accredited and backed by governments and federal agencies, you cannot get this oversight elsewhere. Why does this matter? Learn more

Not AABB accredited. Other NIPP tests aren’t held to the same rigorous standards for accuracy and quality, which can lead to inconsistent procedures and unreliable results.

DNA Technology

DDC’s proprietary VeriSNP™ technology analyzes hundreds of precise genetic markers to deliver the highest level of accuracy in prenatal paternity testing—no postnatal confirmation required. Learn more

Other labs test only a handful of DNA patterns and continue to use outdated STR methods for fetal DNA, resulting in untrustworthy results.

Accuracy

We maintain the industry’s highest standards for accuracy, 99.9%, backed by trusted accreditation bodies and our unparalleled DNA testing technology.

Other labs often show inconsistencies in their methods and results due to varying standards, lack of stringent oversight, and less advanced technology.

Authority

With more than 30 years of DNA testing expertise, DDC pioneered the world’s first and only NIPP test endorsed by the American Pregnancy Association. Many people turn to us after other labs’ results leave them uncertain or inconclusive.

Other labs lack DDC’s depth of experience—especially with prenatal testing—which has caused many customers to walk away from those tests feeling uncertain or doubtful about their results.

Customer Care

Our experienced DNA advisors guide you every step of the way, ensuring a completely personalized, seamless, and stress-free testing experience.

Other companies often lack the personalized guidance you deserve, leaving you to navigate a complex process on your own.

During an uncertain time like this, trust the lab that gets it right when it matters most.

Without AABB Accreditation, You're Taking a Risk

DNA Diagnostics Center offers the world’s only AABB-accredited NIPP Test

The AABB is the sole authority that defines and enforces the highest standards for relationship DNA testing. AABB-accredited labs operate under rigorous quality systems and verified procedures, making them the only laboratories trusted by courts, governments, and federal agencies.

Unaccredited labs aren’t held to accountability, audits, or standardized protocols. This means no one is checking their work, validating their methods, or ensuring accuracy. The results you receive could be unreliable, and when errors happen, there’s no recourse. For something this important, choose DNA Diagnostics Center, the only prenatal paternity test with AABB accreditation.

Only DDC Offers VeriSNP™

The Most Advanced Technology on the Market
DDC’s VeriSNP™ High Definition NIPP Technology

Our proprietary VeriSNP™ technology examines hundreds of individual genetic building blocks (nucleotides) to conclusively determine if there’s a paternity match – the highest level of precision and accuracy available for prenatal paternity testing. Our NIPP test is the only AABB-accredited test available. This pioneering technology is the reason DDC’s results don’t need postnatal confirmation like other labs.

DDC VeriSNP DNA technology

Other Companies

Other companies use an older technology (“STR”) with much lower resolution – determining paternity based on the lengths of certain genetic regions (loci) – sometimes using less than 50 loci – because it cannot see individual nucleotides. The problem? Fetal DNA is broken into pieces in the mom’s blood, so comparing the lengths of the baby’s DNA segments to the father’s can lead to inaccurate results.

Other companies DNA technology

Be cautious of NIPP tests using STR technology or analyzing fewer than 100 genetic markers or loci. These methods aren’t built for prenatal accuracy and often produce inconclusive or incorrect results, which is why those companies also recommend repeat testing after birth. Choose DDC’s trusted VeriSNP™ technology for clear, proven answers the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is AABB accreditation important for prenatal paternity testing?

AABB accreditation ensures a lab meets the highest standards for DNA testing accuracy, chain of custody, and validation. All other prenatal paternity testing labs are not AABB accredited, meaning their methods and results aren’t independently verified for reliability.

Can I trust DNA results from a non-accredited lab?

Without AABB oversight, there’s no guarantee the lab’s processes or technology have been scientifically validated. That means results could be incomplete, inaccurate, or even rejected in legal or medical contexts.

Why do some labs claim high prenatal DNA accuracy with STR testing?

Those claims are often based on postnatal testing conditions, not prenatal samples. STR simply doesn’t provide enough data points to achieve consistent accuracy when analyzing mixed maternal and fetal DNA.

What makes SNP technology more accurate than STR testing for NIPP tests?

Our VeriSNP™ technology analyzes hundreds of individual DNA points for the highest-resolution prenatal paternity results, while older STR methods examine only a few repeating DNA patterns—making them unreliable for fetal DNA, which is naturally broken into small fragments in the mother's blood.

How does DDC’s VeriSNP™ method ensure 99.9% accuracy?

By analyzing hundreds of independent data points, our SNP technology builds a detailed genetic profile that allows our lab to match even the smallest traces of fetal DNA with the father’s DNA with exceptional precision.

What if I already took a NIPP test with another lab?

If your results came from a non-accredited lab or a lab using STR technology, we recommend retesting with DDC’s VeriSNP™ method and AABB accredited lab to confirm your result. Give us a call and we can discuss special offers for this situation.

*What does “over 99.9% accurate” mean? Could my test be wrong?

The NIPP Test result compares the baby’s DNA with the DNA of the father, and if there’s a very close match, your test will read “Probability of Paternity: >99.9%”. If there is not a close match, the probability of paternity will be “0%”. Because there is always a possibility that another man could have nearly identical DNA to the true father, a paternity test result can never read “100%”. However, the results of the test are absolutely guaranteed. When your samples arrive at the lab, we process them twice by two different teams. Afterward, the results are compared to make sure they are identical. All tests are reviewed by our in-house Ph.D. DNA experts to ensure accuracy every time. Be cautious of NIPP labs claiming 100% accuracy—that is not something a legitimate DNA lab will claim. A small chance always exists that two people could share similar DNA, so any such claim is misleading. Choose an accredited lab that explains its methods and safeguards to ensure scientifically reliable results.
