DDC Provides Supply-Chain Assistance to Medical Providers

FAIRFIELD, Ohio, March 30, 2020
To do our part to help people obtain faster diagnostic answers to their COVID-19 questions, DDC is leveraging our supply-chain processes to expedite an important and much sought-after test to medical providers.

COVID-19 LAB TEST KIT
For patients who suspect they currently have COVID-19: DDC will be manufacturing COVID-19 diagnostic kits that use oropharyngeal (throat) swabs to collect patient samples. DDC is offering these sample-collection kits to select medical providers who will collect samples that are then shipped to designated laboratories for analysis.

We’re here to help—however we can

DDC is  pleased to give assistance to the medical community as we work  to help the public get and stay healthy during these difficult times. Be assured we are also processing tests for our customers.

Message from the DDC CEO

FAIRFIELD, Ohio, March 18, 2020
In the wake of the news surrounding COVID-19 and its spread across the globe, the health and safety of our customers, partners, and employees are our top priorities.
We understand the critical role our testing provides our shared customers in the best of times, and now this moment will be even more important than ever to some of them.
I wanted to share some of the steps DDC is taking to maintain business continuity and support for our customers.
How we’re supporting customers and providing uninterrupted service
As a long-established and accredited lab-based testing company, we have the inherent advantage of having tools and processes in place to continue our business operations uninterrupted. Currently, DDC is fully operational and conducting business as usual, and will continue to do so as long as we are able.
We are prepared and don’t expect to miss a beat. As always, DDC provides around-the-clock testing Monday through Friday for all customers around the globe. Our customer-service teams are standing by to answer your product questions, set up tests, and provide assistance during our normal business hours.
How we’re keeping DDC employees safe
Thankfully, the DDC team is healthy and focused on mitigating any disruptions during this stressful time. Your samples are safe with our laboratory teams—before this crisis, during this crisis, and after the crisis, we have maintained and will continually maintain strict protocols to prevent the spread or dissemination of biological materials. Not only are our lab professionals safe, but you can be assured they continue to conduct testing as usual with all safety protocols in place.
Our leadership team has executed an emergency-response plan with guidelines for working and managing teams remotely—where possible—and have taken steps to spread out staff who are not able to work remotely across the facility to support social distancing and take fullest advantage of our very large, state-of-the-art facility. We have implemented self-check health stations and installed additional sanitizer stations throughout the building, while implementing additional cleaning procedures multiple times per day.
We will keep you updated and communicate any new information on our website and social media channels as the situation continues to unfold.
We’re here to help
We recognize that the current events impact us all in every city, state, and country. We are doing everything we can to ensure our safety and continuity and hope the same for all of you.
In the meantime, and most importantly, please take good care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Yes, DDC is Open for Business!

FAIRFIELD, Ohio, March 12, 2020

As the effects of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) are being felt all over the world, it is not surprising that we are affected and taking precautions here in Ohio as well—where the DDC laboratory is located. Ohio’s Governor Mike DeWine announced today that the state is closing schools for the next three weeks—effective Monday, March 16—and has banned gatherings of more than 100 people.
We share this with you to keep you informed and to ensure you that we are working hard to take care of you, our customers, as well as our employees here at home.
Over the coming weeks, in order to meet demand while supporting our staff, there may be minor delays in our turnaround times – measured in days, not weeks.
What this means:
DDC continues receiving and processing samples from around the world and will post your results as soon as possible

  • There may be a slight uptick in phone wait-times
  • Results may be delayed
  • The DDC team will continue to provide the quality of service you expect with results you can trust

Please take care during the coming weeks and months ahead during this time of global struggle and know that we are proud and honored to support you.
